Velimpex was North American Sales Agent for Vittoria S.p.A. from 1989 until 1997, when this storied Italian brand was sold to a Dutch consortium. During this period Velimpex generated and managed all sales in the North American market and produced a series of advertisements one bicycle magazine publisher called “The best series of ads the bicycle industry has ever seen.”

After a 3-year interregnum, the new owners retained Velimpex to manage their OEM business in the North American market. During the 2000 – 2012 period, Velimipex grew Vittoria’s OEM tire sales from zero to over $5 million/year, firmly establishing the brand as OEM market leader in the premium road category and additionally developed private label business valued at more than $7 million per year.
